I invite you to celebrate my prefect imperfections Friday, Sept, 12, 2025. As I stand on the precipice of turning 50, a milestone I never thought I’d reach, I find myself reflecting on the winding road that brought me here. It all started back in the early ’90s, a young 19-year-old, fresh out of childhood, and working at JW. It was there that I first tasted the bitter sting of heartache and betrayal, experiences that would serve as the catalyst for a life-altering journey. Instead of succumbing to the pain, I resolved to take control of my own narrative, to become the author of my story. This led me down a path of self-discovery, a quest to answer the fundamental questions: Who is Benito Dieudonne? What is my purpose? This journey took me back to my humble beginnings, through a whirlwind of experiences, and ultimately led me to embrace the moniker that defined a chapter of my life: Island Boy. It was a time of seeking, searching, and a burning desire to help others, to be a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on. It was a passion that blossomed from simple radio requests to a calling that resonated deep within my soul. And through it all, I’ve evolved, grown, and learned, becoming the man I am today: a proud husband, dedicated father, loyal friend, and still, that listening ear for anyone who needs it.
